Carolyn Wong-Auweloa, Technical Advisor

Carolyn is the Hawaii County Resource Conservationist with the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service. She is located in the Waimea Field Office and is passionate about promoting grazing land conservation, proper grazing management, improving animal husbandry skills, and understanding animal foraging behavior.

Carolyn has Masters degree in rangeland science through Utah State University, where her major professor was Dr. Fred Provenza. She has a Bachelor of Science in Agroecology and Environmental Science from the University of Hawaii, Hilo.

Carolyn and her husband Haia raise meat goats in the Waimea and North Kohala areas. She spends much of her free time giving back to the community in various ways, including serving as an Technical Advisor to the Hawaii GLC, focusing on a range of biological and grazing management issues.
