This first-ever conference brings together ranchers, agricultural business owners and managers, extension and natural resource professionals. The intent is to build on a unique network of livestock industry and technology knowledge, and to share our cultural heritage in producing livestock products for small island and rural communities.
The conference is being held at the Maui Beach Hotel on Maui. Risk management, slaughter and processing technology, and industry and ranch tours are the main themes.
The University of Hawaii, College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources is the main host and organizer, along with assistance and input from numerous partners.
